Its Late august and finally there is some water in the Thames. It was brilliant a step up from the infamous Baker Shaker and a great day trip away from Chertsy. I know in the vid none of us are going huge but the wave was far too flushy to really do anything. So Out came the creekers and the day turned into a proper good Hurley session. A good warm up for the upcoming season, all I can say is that Im hanging. I feel like my arms are about to fall off after a long summer away from paddling and more importantly playboating.

Bring the rain
My god its been a long summer.
Brunel chucked out sometime in April and since then everything has been slowly drying out, the local playspot THE IMFAMOUS BAKER SHAKER, Hurley and the Mighty Hambledon. Ive made it to Chertsy once this summer with my ultimate partner in crime Mr Scopes.
I would like to think that I have come on a long way with the boating since I've started , My 2008 Jackson super star has really boosted my confidence , this thing is so easy to roll. I managed to nail my lack luster screw roll 1st time every time in this boat, the depressing thing is coming back to my creeker and failing a pilata roll on the flat. I cant get my head around it, I have the technique in a play boat but for some reasons I can transfer the skills/techniques over to my Karnarli.

i imagine many boaters are in the same position and have managed to find a cure for the itch at hpp or cardif. Or a dam release river. Im just at the stage where im praying constantly for rain , so i can get back to where I should be, either going big or impersonating a carp after attempting to go big.
as allways ill leave you with a vid . This time it is my kayaking lbs latest offering , ( im the guy in the green ronin )
its not one of my personal videos but its a sort of final fairwell to the old regime of Brunel kayakers and in with the new .. Keep an eye out for the newschool stuff coming later in the year..

Hey , this is my first blog post ever, so im a little unsure of what goes in here,
the video aboe is of a local playspot , aptly known as the baker shaker,
i wanted to see if i could make a reasonable film with some equipment I had already purchased befor trading up to getting something like th ego pro , or a proper camcorder. Granted the paddling is very poor, but its a start lol.
enjoy comment or what ever it is happens on these blogs
